Senior International Trade Manager

About the role

The Georgia Department of Economic Development is seeking a Senior International Trade Manager to lead export initiatives, with a focus on the aerospace sector, and to help Georgia companies expand their global sales.

Key responsibilities

• Assist qualified exporters with one‑on‑one export consultations, develop international business strategies and connect them with qualified overseas contacts.
• Design and implement an aerospace‑focused trade promotion program to expand the client base and increase statewide aerospace exports.
• Lead sector‑focused outreach initiatives, partnering with exporters, trade partners and industry associations to optimise export service delivery.
• Plan, coordinate and manage trade promotion events such as tradeshows, inbound and outbound buyer delegations and export seminars.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new export opportunities and inform trade policy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in international trade and export development, preferably within the aerospace sector.
• Strong understanding of export regulations, market entry strategies and trade promotion tools.
• Ability to build relationships with government agencies, industry groups and foreign partners.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for educating stakeholders on export as an economic‑development tool.
