Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Government Systems

About the role

Chainalysis is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the Government Systems team within the Investigations group. The role focuses on designing, operating, and evolving the deployment platform that delivers Chainalysis Reactor to government and high‑security customers, ensuring reliability in strict network environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve RKE2 Kubernetes clusters across dev, acceptance, and production, handling upgrades, capacity planning, and networking strategy.
• Build and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform to provision AWS environments and create reusable modules.
• Own the end‑to‑end CI/CD platform (GitHub Actions), improving pipeline performance and reliability.
• Drive a GitOps delivery model with Flux CD, defining Helm chart and Kustomize standards.
• Define container image lifecycle policies, including building, signing, and distributing images across OCI registries.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and incident‑response practices, maintaining dashboards and runbooks.

Required profile

• Deep experience operating Kubernetes at scale, including Helm, networking, persistent storage, and performance tuning.
• Expert‑level proficiency with Terraform for multi‑environment cloud provisioning.
• Strong Linux systems administration (RHEL/Rocky/Amazon Linux) and shell scripting skills.
• Extensive experience designing reliable CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, EBS, Lambda).
