Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

Sauna.ai is looking for a senior frontend engineer to own and evolve the user‑facing experience of its AI‑powered coworker platform. You will work on‑site in San Francisco, collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver fast, intuitive, and polished interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex web applications using the Saunas stack.
• Make product and design decisions, prototype quickly, and ship without waiting for perfect specifications.
• Implement existing designs and create new UI concepts when needed.
• Own full‑stack features, including database migrations, backend routes, and frontend integration.
• Ensure performance, caching, and optimistic UI updates for a snappy user experience.

Required profile

• 4+ years of frontend engineering experience with a portfolio of shipped complex web apps.
• Deep expertise in React, state management, and component architecture.
• Ability to own full‑stack features from database to UI.
• Strong product sense and design intuition to turn rough ideas into polished interactions.
• High autonomy, low ego, and a focus on craftsmanship (loading states, error handling, keyboard shortcuts).
