Senior Financial Analyst – Insurance Industry

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst partners with division sales and service leaders to deliver financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting that drive strategic decisions within the insurance business. This fully remote position supports the Longwood, FL office and may require occasional on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and service leadership on all financial matters, providing insights for business decisions.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and support periodic forecasting for the division.
• Perform variance analysis of general ledger activity and communicate key drivers to stakeholders.
• Evaluate investment proposals, assessing ROI and alignment with budget objectives.
• Monitor revenue performance of major accounts, analyzing trends and risks.
• Track payroll and expense compliance with headcount, compensation, and budget targets.
• Prepare and present monthly financial review materials to leadership.
• Produce monthly financial reports and commentary summarizing performance and drivers.
• Analyze book‑of‑business metrics such as policies in force, premium, and revenue to support strategic planning.
• Report divisional KPI results and provide actionable insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in the insurance industry.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to senior leadership.
