Senior Expert Engineer – Industrial Services (Compliance)

About the role

As a Senior Expert Engineer – Industrial Services (Compliance), you will lead technical compliance auditing across Nestlé and Nestlé Purina factories in North America. You will standardize audit programs, guide factories through risk assessments, and ensure consistent engineering standards for high‑risk systems.

Key responsibilities

• Drive engineering compliance programs such as Boiler House Safety Assessments, Ammonia Safety Assessments, Dust Hazard Analyses, and Legionella Management Plans.
• Develop and maintain audit standards, scoring approaches, corrective‑action governance and reporting routines.
• Partner with factory engineering, maintenance, safety, environmental, quality and operations teams to identify gaps, prioritize risk‑based actions and validate closure evidence.
• Provide technical expertise on boilers, ammonia refrigeration, combustible dust, flammable gases, Legionella‑controlled water systems, and processes covered by PSM/RMP.
• Lead incident reviews, root‑cause analyses, management‑of‑change reviews and corrective‑action plans related to audit findings.
• Build compliance capability across the network through training, coaching and knowledge‑sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in industrial services, utilities, compliance, process safety, maintenance or capital projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to travel 30‑60% to support North American factories.
