About the role
Bureau Veritas is seeking a senior engineering consultant to lead technical and client activities across commercial real‑estate development, construction, and due‑diligence. This client‑facing position will manage multi‑site programs and guide multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical contact for regional and national commercial real‑estate clients.
- Lead and manage PCAs, BSAs, commercial due‑diligence, and construction‑monitoring projects.
- Oversee multi‑site client programs and portfolios of 50+ properties.
- Evaluate civil/site conditions such as grading, drainage, utilities, paving, and stormwater improvements.
- Review technical reports, construction documents, plans, specifications, schedules, budgets and third‑party assessments.
- Provide construction oversight and technical guidance throughout development.
- Support municipal permitting, approvals, entitlements and development processes.
- Develop scopes, technical recommendations, proposals and client deliverables.
- Supervise, mentor and coordinate assessors, architects, engineers, project managers and subcontractors.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in PCAs, BSAs, commercial due‑diligence or construction monitoring (8–9 years also considered).
- Proven experience managing regional or national client portfolios, preferably 50+ properties.
- Demonstrated ability to act as primary technical client contact and lead.
- Experience supervising or directing technical staff, with 5+ professionals preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field; PE (Civil), CCM or PMP certifications preferred.
