About the role
As a Senior Engineer Industrial Services (Water and Wastewater), you will lead technical efforts for wastewater and incoming water systems across Nestlé’s North American factories. You will set standards, manage risk, ensure compliance, and support capital projects that protect product quality, food safety, employee safety, and the environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for wastewater treatment, process water, potable water, pretreatment, discharge compliance, sampling and system performance improvement.
- Develop and deploy technical standards, best‑practice checklists, performance expectations and governance routines.
- Partner with engineering, environmental, quality, food‑safety, maintenance and operations teams to mitigate risks related to water quality, chemical contamination and system integrity.
- Support capital projects with front‑end engineering input, technology selection, design review, cost/risk analysis, commissioning, validation and technical acceptance criteria.
- Lead incident reviews, root‑cause analysis, corrective actions and risk‑based improvement plans for water‑related excursions and permit exceedances.
- Build capability across the North American factory network through training, coaching, communities of practice and audit readiness activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in wastewater treatment, water systems, industrial utilities, environmental compliance or technical leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Required skills
- Wastewater treatment and water quality monitoring.
- Design and optimization of water and wastewater systems.
- Capital project engineering and technology evaluation.
- Risk assessment and compliance management.
