Senior Electrical Engineer, Integration & Test

About the role

Radiant Industries is developing portable nuclear microreactors and seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, build, and maintenance of the electrical test infrastructure for its Kaleidos reactor. The role will own hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) systems, test benches, and validation platforms that support high‑temperature gas‑cooled microreactor testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, construct, and maintain electrical test infrastructure, including test benches and HIL platforms.
• Define integration requirements for power distribution, signal conditioning, sensor mapping, actuator interfaces, and device simulation.
• Lead electrical validation strategy, develop test procedures, execute tests, collect data, and perform analysis.
• Assemble, debug, and troubleshoot test hardware and harnesses with minimal guidance.
• Drive optimization of test processes, tooling, and automation.
• Conduct design reviews and communicate technical decisions to cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical hardware design, integration, and test.
• Proven track record of owning and building electrical test infrastructure.

Required skills

• Experience with data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
• Proficiency using platforms such as dSpace, NI PXI, or Speedgoat.
• Knowledge of hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) testing.
