Senior Electrical BIM/VDC Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a senior electrical BIM/VDC professional to lead the technical side of a new recruiting service for U.S. electrical contractors. This remote, fractional position will evolve into a longer‑term leadership role, shaping how we identify and assess top electrical BIM talent.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical requirements for electrical BIM modelers, senior coordinators and team leads.
• Train recruiters on BIM/VDC terminology, software tools and relevant project experience.
• Develop résumé and portfolio screening standards, interview questions, evaluation criteria and scorecards.
• Design and implement a practical Revit/Navisworks candidate assessment.
• Review portfolios, interview shortlisted candidates and grade technical assessments.
• Establish market‑based compensation benchmarks for the niche.
• Identify the first 3‑5 candidates ready to present to U.S. electrical contractors.
• Create a repeatable technical recruiting process that can scale.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in electrical BIM/VDC within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, BIM workflows and VDC processes.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical recruiters.
• Self‑starter comfortable working remotely and managing a part‑time schedule (10‑20 hours/week).
