Senior Dredge Project Manager (Travel Required)

About the role

Curtin Maritime seeks an experienced Senior Dredge Project Manager to lead large‑scale dredging and marine construction programs from award through closeout. The role combines project execution, financial stewardship, client liaison, and field coordination while mentoring teams and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of multiple concurrent dredging projects, ensuring schedule, budget, safety and quality targets are met.
• Manage project finances, forecasts and cost controls; monitor production rates, equipment utilization and labor efficiency to protect margins.
• Coordinate with Dredge Superintendents, Port Captains, engineers, crewing, HSSE, survey and yard operations to align field activities.
• Provide senior‑level technical input during bid development, constructability reviews and post‑project lessons learned.
• Mentor junior project managers and engineers, support SOP development and promote the company’s safety culture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of project management experience in dredging, marine construction or heavy civil marine work; 8+ years leading dredging projects preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management preferred; relevant certifications such as USACE CQM‑C, OSHA 30 and EM 385‑1‑1 are a plus.
• Proven ability to manage complex programs with minimal oversight and strong client‑relationship skills.
• Physical ability to work onboard vessels, climb ladders and lift up to 50 lb; must meet fit‑for‑duty requirements.
