Senior Director, People

About the role

Doxel is seeking a Senior Director, People to design and scale the people systems that enable rapid growth in the construction‑tech space. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the end‑to‑end talent lifecycle—from hiring and onboarding to performance management and career development—while embedding AI‑driven tools to make HR processes faster and more data‑focused.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement leveling, compensation, and career path frameworks that support a high‑performing, high‑talent team.
• Partner with Finance to design offer strategies, benchmark salaries, and manage merit and promotion cycles.
• Lead recruiting operations, improving hiring velocity, interview quality, and candidate experience.
• Own the HRIS (Rippling), configuring job architecture, approval workflows, onboarding, and off‑boarding processes.
• Coach and develop people managers, especially first‑time leaders, through performance conversations and calibration.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, conducting investigations and conflict resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience building HR systems at fast‑growing technology or construction companies.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to execute autonomously and influence senior leadership.
• Passion for leveraging AI and modern tools to improve HR efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, builder‑mentalities.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS platforms, specifically Rippling.
