Senior Director, Head of Service Business Unit

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a senior leader to define and execute the service product strategy for its Service Business Unit. The role drives profitable revenue growth across the installed base, aligns cross‑functional teams, and builds scalable service offerings that improve customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead senior managers and ensure alignment with business objectives for CVD/DDP products.
• Guide engineering organizations in designing, developing, and implementing service programs.
• Own the service roadmap, drive revenue growth, and improve margins.
• Partner with BU, sales, and field teams to execute market‑focused product strategies.
• Provide strategic oversight of customer escalations and represent the SBU in executive‑level engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business or related field (Master/PhD preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in engineering, product management, or business strategy.
• Proven experience leading senior managers and complex matrixed teams.
• Strong technical and commercial judgment with ability to develop and execute product and market strategies.
