Senior Director, Category - Walmart

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, data‑driven Senior Director of Category for Walmart to lead and elevate the performance of our Beer and Hard Beverages portfolio. In this high‑impact leadership role you will develop best‑in‑class category strategies, translate insights into action, and partner closely with Walmart to accelerate growth.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage category strategies and insights to drive growth with Walmart, acting as a thought leader.
• Develop compelling, customer‑facing category stories and merchandising plans tailored to Walmart store types.
• Oversee synthesis of syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana, Numerator, Luminate) and POS insights into actionable recommendations.
• Monitor category performance and competitive activity, informing Walmart and AB leadership on emerging trends.
• Coach and develop a high‑performing Category team, fostering a culture of excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing or related field (highly preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in consumer‑packaged goods, with prior category management experience.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent project and time‑management abilities, detail‑oriented and able to juggle multiple projects.
