Senior Designer – Water/Wastewater/Utilities

About the role

CPH, a top‑500 multi‑disciplinary engineering and architectural firm, is seeking a Senior Designer to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Sanford. The role blends advanced CAD expertise with deep knowledge of municipal water systems, guiding projects from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design concept development for pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants, and reservoirs, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and regulatory constraints.
• Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, complying with industry codes and project specifications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, integrating engineering, architectural, and construction elements to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Conduct site visits, assess construction progress, and generate reports to support design adjustments.
• Calculate material quantities, cost estimates, and support civil engineering and land development documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 5–10 years of specialized experience in water/wastewater CAD design.
• Proven ability to mentor junior designers and manage design workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Extensive experience designing water utilities infrastructure such as pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities.
