Senior Design Engineer – HVACR Commercial Air Conditioning

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Commercial Air Conditioning team in Sidney, OH. The role focuses on sustaining and new‑product‑development projects, delivering high‑quality mechanical designs for HVACR compressor assemblies and related components.

Key responsibilities

• Apply mechanical sciences to perform static and dynamic analysis, material selection and design optimization.
• Develop and maintain CAD/CAE models, detailed drawings and assembly layouts in line with corporate standards and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Establish component and assembly specifications, including geometry, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
• Lead project teams, mentor peers and coordinate priority planning to ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
• Conduct tolerance stack‑up analysis and verify fit‑up of components using CAD tools.
• Produce engineering calculations and use spreadsheet‑based tools to support design decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical product design and analysis.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and provide peer mentoring.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and focus on delivering quality design documentation.

Required skills

• Static and dynamic analysis of mechanical components.
