Senior Counsel – Regulatory & Litigation

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead regulatory and litigation initiatives and support federal legislative engagement. The role blends high‑stakes legal work with policy influence in the autonomous maritime defense sector.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of Regulatory & Litigation on national and international regulatory matters, including military acquisition regulations, export controls, and national security issues.
• Develop comments, filings, and advocacy strategies for agency regulations affecting the company.
• Support the litigation portfolio by coordinating with outside counsel on case strategy, briefing, and dispositive motions, leveraging appellate experience.
• Serve as the primary legal lead for federal legislative engagement, drafting and analyzing proposals, amendments, and statutory language related to unmanned maritime systems and defense acquisition.
• Build and maintain relationships with Senate and House committees, especially Armed Services, Judiciary, Homeland Security, Intelligence, and Appropriations.
• Advise senior leadership on legislative risk, opportunity, and strategy, and provide cross‑functional counsel across product, government affairs, and corporate functions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of combined litigation and regulatory legal experience (government, military, in‑house, or top‑tier law firm).
• Juris Doctor and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Substantive experience with Senate or House committees, preferably Judiciary, Armed Services, Homeland Security, or Intelligence.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑stakes litigation and regulatory matters in parallel.
