Senior Community Manager – New York City

About the role

Greystar is seeking an experienced Senior Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of two or more multifamily properties in New York City. The role combines leadership of on‑site staff, financial stewardship, and resident‑focused service to ensure properties meet budgetary and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day activities of assigned properties, managing staff, vendors, and resources.
• Develop and monitor property budgets, analyze financial statements, and prepare monthly performance reports.
• Set rent rates, ensure timely rent collection, process deposits, and oversee invoicing and vendor payments.
• Control expenditures, manage petty‑cash funds, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and other regulations.
• Lead lease administration, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and fee collection.
• Analyze market trends and implement short‑ and long‑term leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals.
• Promote resident satisfaction through proactive communication and service initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of property management experience in multifamily housing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple properties and lead on‑site teams.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, and other relevant housing regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience preparing budgets and financial reports.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities.
