Senior Community Development Analyst – Working Places

About the role

The Senior Community Development Analyst will help design and implement the Working Places Initiative to support economic growth for lower‑income residents in smaller cities and rural areas in New England. The role involves creating, leading and managing learning cohorts, a learning network, and communicating progress to internal and external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage development and implementation of community cohorts and components of the Working Places Learning Network.
• Develop and execute a communications strategy to share initiative progress with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead learning cohorts, designing shared learning experiences, technical assistance and partnership opportunities.
• Design and manage selection processes, outreach, and progress monitoring for cohorts.
• Organize short‑term virtual and in‑person convenings on key topics such as housing and small business.
• Contribute to the evolving strategy of Working Places to support community economic growth.

Required profile

• Passion for creating community change and commitment to low‑ and moderate‑income residents.
• Strong organizational, project management, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to design and implement learning experiences and technical assistance.
• Knowledge of community development, especially in smaller cities and rural areas.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively within cross‑sector teams.
• Background in community‑level impact, communications strategies, or place‑based economic development initiatives.
• Data analysis skills and familiarity with social and economic factors affecting community development.
