Senior Cloud Engineer – Product Metrics (Remote)

About the role

The Product Metrics team at ClickHouse builds and operates a petabyte‑scale platform that collects, stores and serves metrics from customers' ClickHouse instances. You will design, build, and maintain critical components that handle trillions of records and millions of events per second, ensuring reliability, performance and cost‑efficiency. The role is fully remote and focuses on delivering accurate, timely data for internal billing and customer‑facing dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and influence the roadmap for the Product Metrics platform.
• Design, build, operate, and maintain petabyte‑scale, fault‑tolerant systems.
• Ensure performance, reliability, availability and cost‑efficiency of all services.
• Mentor team members, participate in design discussions and collaborate across engineering.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and take ownership of production incidents.

Required profile

• Strong initiative, ownership and accountability with a bias toward action.
• Customer‑centric mindset, designing solutions with user needs in mind.
• Ability to break down complex challenges into iterative, feedback‑driven solutions.
• Solid production debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• 5+ years building and operating scalable, fault‑tolerant distributed systems.
• 2+ years of software development with Golang.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Proficiency with ClickHouse for large‑volume data storage and retrieval.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, Temporal and Terraform.
