Senior Buyer

About the role

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation is seeking a Senior Buyer who independently manages the procurement of raw materials, capital equipment, tooling and other items, ensuring alignment with company objectives, policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement activities to achieve optimal quality, delivery, price and terms.
• Research vendors, evaluate proposals and negotiate contracts, including freight and logistics terms.
• Issue purchase orders, change notices and maintain correspondence with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve quality issues and participate in cost‑reduction projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and sales teams to address supply challenges.
• Maintain accurate requirements planning tools, safety stocks and inventory levels.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with outstanding customer service and negotiation abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; 5+ years of experience in manufacturing procurement.
• Attention to detail, systematic problem‑solving and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to supplier facilities.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using AS400 software.
