Senior Business Manager – Berkley School of Nursing

About the role

The Senior Business Manager for the Berkley School of Nursing (BSON) provides strategic financial leadership across academic, research, service and administrative functions. Reporting to the Dean, the role oversees budgeting, financial planning, resource allocation and enrollment forecasting to support the school’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual budget, financial forecasts and long‑term financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and financial regulations.
• Partner with division heads, program directors and external partners (e.g., 2U) to align fiscal strategies with program goals.
• Provide data‑driven analysis to support decision‑making for senior leadership.
• Maintain strong relationships with GUMC, other university schools and central administrative units.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7‑10 years of administrative/supervisory experience, including at least four years in higher‑education finance.
• Proven track record of financial management in complex organizations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups.
