Senior Associate – Institutional Non-Financial Risk (USA)

About the role

The Senior Associate, Institutional NFR USA will strengthen ANZ's non‑financial risk framework for its United States Institutional business. Working closely with USA and International business leaders, you will help identify, assess, manage and report non‑financial risks in line with the bank’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business and risk stakeholders to provide guidance on non‑financial risk matters and support informed decision‑making.
• Independently identify, assess, monitor and manage non‑financial risks across the Institutional portfolio.
• Provide constructive challenge on risk themes, control effectiveness and potential impacts of strategic initiatives.
• Support implementation and ongoing application of the non‑financial risk framework, including governance, reporting and escalation processes.
• Monitor material risk exposures and issues, ensuring timely escalation and remediation.
• Assist in translating regulatory requirements into practical business solutions and embed changes within risk and control processes.
• Contribute to the delivery and adoption of the PACT program to enhance risk capabilities and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in non‑financial risk, risk management or compliance within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive approach to risk identification.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey risk insights to senior leaders and regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrated understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting institutional banking.
