Senior Analyst, Trade Credit (Accounting)

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Analyst, Trade Credit (Accounting) for its Georgia virtual location. The role supports business growth within a controllership organization by handling day-to-day Order to Cash (OTC) activities for the Pro Trade Credit business. It works with internal teams and external partners such as customers and the Credit and Pro teams to resolve discrepancies and improve trade credit processes. The position reports to a Manager or Sr. Manager and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Planning, forecasting and reporting: lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly financial reports, run variance analysis, support month-end close and deliver insights to senior leadership.
• Preparing and delivering insights: present financial analysis visually and verbally, give actionable recommendations and explain the financial impact of business decisions.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with business leaders up to VPs and with finance and accounting stakeholders to connect business and financial stories.
• Project-based analysis: run detailed analyses for investment initiatives and capital allocation, model "what-if" scenarios and explain metric variations.
• Operational execution: carry out cash application, invoice adjustments and refunds, reconciliations and other month-end tasks in SAP, Blackline and other third-party applications, and propose continuous improvements.

Required profile

• Aged 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job; preferred: CPA designation.
• 2 years of work experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage competing priorities and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Foundational accounting: cash, accounts receivable, revenue, reporting and month-end close.
• Data analytics and visualization: Google Big Query, SQL, Tableau and other SaaS tools.
• Preferred: Microsoft Office (especially Excel), SAP, Blackline, and Order to Cash experience including account reconciliation and payment application.
