Senior Analyst - General Accounting

About the role

The Senior Analyst supports the General Accounting team by performing and reviewing complex accounting activities and analysis across areas such as debt, treasury, insurance, advertising and other processes. The role partners with internal teams and external business partners to resolve discrepancies, maintains and distributes documentation for internal and external reporting, and presents continuous improvement insights to managers and leaders. It is a virtual position based in Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Operational duties (about 75% of the role): execute tasks for the PTP, OTC and RTR towers, interpret data in reports and ledgers, advise on efficiency improvements, support junior analysts, resolve job-related issues, run month-end and year-end processes, and meet KPIs and SLAs.
• Project management and team support: work with project teams and business partners, prioritize assignments and ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaboration: build trust with internal customers and cross-functional teams, gather input on business needs, and seek knowledge of trends such as analytics, intelligent automation, robotics and AI.
• Continuous improvement: help improve financial shared services processes and tools, and assist the manager in building and interpreting analysis.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience is required; 3-5+ years preferred.
• Reports to a Lead Analyst, Manager or Sr. Manager, with typically less than 10% overnight travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software is preferred.
• Understanding of accounting and finance principles, GAAP and auditing standards.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills.
• Experience with data analytics and data visualization is preferred; experience with RPA, machine learning, artificial intelligence and blockchain is highly desired.
