Senior AI Infrastructure & Platform Operations Engineer (Remote, US)

About the role

Mirantis, a Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure company, is creating an Americas-based AI Infrastructure & Platform Operations unit focused on managing large AI ecosystems built on NVIDIA GPU acceleration, high-speed interconnects, Kubernetes and modern platform frameworks. The team keeps AI service platforms reliable and efficient across a global datacenter footprint. This is a full-time remote position in the US.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure, networking and platform incidents, and act as a senior escalation point during critical events
• Support large-scale NVIDIA GPU infrastructure and high-performance networking environments
• Troubleshoot Linux, Kubernetes, networking, storage and hardware issues, and lead root cause analysis
• Analyze platform performance, capacity and reliability trends to spot risks early
• Take part in major incident management and service restoration
• Lead Kubernetes platform operations and improve reliability, observability, monitoring and operational processes
• Automate repetitive tasks and contribute to operational readiness reviews, upgrades and service introductions
• Help adopt AI-powered operational capabilities through k0rdent AI and evaluate emerging technologies
• Mentor other engineers, share knowledge and develop runbooks, troubleshooting guides and operational standards

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, site reliability, network, cloud or datacenter operations
• Proven track record of leading technical investigations, incident management and root cause analysis
• Preferred: experience in NVIDIA GPU infrastructure, InfiniBand, HPC, platform engineering, Kubernetes operations, IaC, observability platforms, or technical leadership
