Senior AI Engineer (Remote, US)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join Infosys’s Engineering unit, driving innovative AI solutions across the United States. The role blends advanced generative and conversational AI work with hands‑on software development, supporting both new product initiatives and existing platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements during the elicitation phase.
• Lead design discussions, capture decisions, and guide the technical team.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain new features in AI‑enabled applications.
• Perform code reviews, manage repositories, and ensure code quality.
• Design and execute test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, proposing preventive measures.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code changes, testing procedures, and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirements to deployment.
• Experience translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Passion for software design and hands‑on coding.
• Proactive approach to testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Comfort working with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
