Senior AI Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Developer to join SAP’s GenAI engineering team. You will work closely with data scientists and architects to embed large‑language‑model capabilities and knowledge‑graph technologies into SAP applications, helping customers across industries leverage AI.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the lead architect and SAP data‑science partners to design and implement GenAI solutions.
• Translate business requirements into high‑level designs, technical specifications, and robust code.
• Define and enforce architectural and coding best practices; participate in design and code reviews across frontend, backend, DevOps and AI engineers.
• Provide technical feasibility analyses, solution proposals and effort estimates for product teams.
• Own end‑to‑end ML lifecycle tasks including data collection, annotation, model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years on SAP BTP and SAP AI Core.
• 2+ years of experience optimizing and serving machine‑learning models in production.
• Proven track record building multi‑tenant, cloud‑native business applications.
