Senior Agronomic Solutions Advisor – Central California

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Agronomic Solutions Advisor to join BASF’s Agricultural Solutions team in Central California. In this role you will drive demand for crop protection products, act as a trusted adviser to growers, and develop strategic agronomic plans.

Key responsibilities

• Create demand for BASF crop protection products with assigned growers and serve as a trusted industry adviser.
• Establish business and agronomic plans, including strategies and tactics tailored to key growers.
• Act as the primary BASF contact, aligning short‑ and long‑term business strategies.
• Partner with business representatives to set strategic plans for retailers and growers.
• Forecast brand sales, achieve financial targets, and develop annual territory plans.
• Collaborate with local sales teams, technical service reps, and account managers to implement customer plans.
• Launch new products by executing market strategies, crop activities, and product positioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with knowledge and sales experience in agronomics and chemistry.
• 8+ years of sales experience in crop protection.
• Strong business acumen and agronomic expertise for crop protection.
• Team‑player attitude with creativity and positive engagement across the business.
• Proficiency with digital tools such as Salesforce and strong computer skills.
• Possession of a PCA license or ability to obtain one immediately.
