Senior Accountant (CPA)

About the role

Trading Technologies is seeking a Senior Accountant (CPA) to join its global finance team in Chicago. The role combines core accounting duties with opportunities to lead process‑improvement projects, support audits, and collaborate across multiple business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in redesigning month‑end close processes, automate journal entries and reconciliations using tools such as Power Automate and Power BI.
• Prepare complex journal entries, perform account reconciliation reviews, and conduct variance analysis.
• Support consolidated U.S. audit and statutory audits for UK and French entities, acting as primary contact for external auditors.
• Manage local accounting firms to ensure compliance with filing requirements across jurisdictions.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies, propose automation solutions, and evaluate close‑management tools like FloQast.
• Document and maintain SOPs for key accounting processes.
• Partner with FP&A, legal, HR, and international counterparts to ensure consistent accounting treatment and support integration activities.

Required profile

• CPA certification.
• Substantial progressive accounting experience in a global or national setting.
• Detail‑oriented, dependable, and proactive with a strong curiosity for process improvement.
