About the role
The SEEDS Specialist I – SW provides high‑quality, community‑based training and coaching to early learning professionals across a wide region of Georgia. The role focuses on promoting social‑emotional learning, preventing and responding to challenging behaviors, and supporting children with disabilities in early care settings.
Key responsibilities
- Provide onsite or virtual training and coaching to early learning professionals to create positive, prosocial environments and address challenging behavior.
- Assist early childhood professionals and families with referrals to early intervention, special education, mental health, and other support services.
- Administer and score observation instruments such as the Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool (TPOT) and the Pyramid Infant Toddler Observation Scale (TPITOS) with at least 80% reliability.
- Design and deliver professional learning sessions on social‑emotional development, inclusive practices, and behavior support.
Required profile
- High school diploma/GED with four years of program management experience, or an associate degree in education or business, or two years of experience at the lower level Education Program Specialist I.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in education (or related field) with four years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with five years of early childhood experience.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license, insurance coverage, and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.

- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
