Security Specialist (TS/SCI) – Part-Time Backup

About the role

Connexus Hub is seeking a Security Specialist to provide part‑time backup coverage for a government customer in Quantico. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and involves both physical and personnel security duties on a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physical security walkthroughs, inspections, and facility closing procedures.
• Perform security indoctrinations, schedule polygraphs, investigate violations, and manage clearance investigations.
• Program and verify security badges within 24 hours of request.
• Provide visitor escorting and front‑desk support as needed.
• Participate in meetings and offer subject‑matter expertise on security matters.

Required profile

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or 4 + years relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience delivering administrative and physical security for a government agency.
• Experience supporting customers and knowledge of government‑approved security devices.

Required skills

• Intrusion Detection Systems, including UL 2050 certified IDS.
• Familiarity with JPAS DISS and Scattered Castles systems.
• Knowledge of security badge programming and personnel entry control systems.
