Security Sergeant – Chabert (Houma, LA)

About the role

The Security Sergeant leads the security team on the assigned shift, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This supervisory position requires coordination of staff, incident management, and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of security staff, provide guidance, and enforce policies and procedures.
• Evaluate serious security incidents, take appropriate action, and notify leadership.
• Complete quarterly security audits and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Support emergency response efforts and conduct preparedness drills.
• Maintain personnel schedules, avoid unauthorized overtime, and oversee training and certification requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of security, law‑enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI), and firearms training.
• Preferred: 1 year of supervisory experience and POST certification.

Required skills

• Ability to use Windows‑style applications and keyboard efficiently.
