Security Operations Coordinator

About the role

This role works under the direction of the on‑shift Security Operations Center Supervisor. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of personnel, assets, and property by actively monitoring surveillance systems, managing access control, and coordinating emergency response efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Actively monitor live CCTV camera networks, video walls, fire alarm and intrusion detection panels, and conduct routine system health checks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for emergency calls and duress alarms, evaluate alerts, and dispatch on‑site security officers or mobile patrols.
• Manage electronic access control systems, operate gates, turnstiles, and secure doors, and issue or revoke digital access badges and visitor passes.
• Maintain a chronological digital log of shift activities, draft incident reports, and archive video footage for investigations or law‑enforcement requests.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field is favorable.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a security control room, dispatch center, or high‑security corporate environment; law‑enforcement experience considered.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to multitask effectively in a team environment.
