Security Officer - Patrol Driver (2nd Shift)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer - Patrol Driver for its second shift in Waterloo, Iowa. Working at a manufacturing and industrial site, you will conduct routine patrols, drive the patrol vehicle and help deter security-related incidents while providing professional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities for clients.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, loading docks and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor, contractor and delivery activity according to site procedures.
• Report hazards, suspicious activity, equipment concerns and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements (required for driving positions).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 19 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Preferred: comfortable using a computer or tablet and able to lift more than 20 lbs.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required before employment.
