Security Guard - Patrol Driver (Overnights)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Guard - Patrol Driver for overnight shifts in Waterloo, Iowa. The role serves and safeguards clients in manufacturing and industrial locations, conducting routine patrols, keeping a visible presence to deter incidents and supporting a welcoming environment through good customer service. It is a driving position that requires a valid driver's license.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns and critical situations, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, offices and the perimeter to spot and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and keep accurate logs and incident records.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors and emergency responders.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 19 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Preferred: comfortable using a computer or tablet, able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Applicants undergo a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required before employment.
