Security Officer - Flex Multi Site Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Flex Multi Site Patrol in Las Vegas, NV. You will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance and retail. The role involves irregular shifts with little to no advance notice, chosen from a mix of manager-assigned shifts and the self-scheduling Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents and suspicious activity, and maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees and visitors courteously and professionally, and make emergency notifications as needed

Required profile

• Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends, and for last-minute scheduling
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel the required distance for branch assignments
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only
