Security Officer - Entry Desk

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer for its entry desk at a logistics and distribution location in Gretna, Nebraska. The officer helps manage entry points, verifies credentials, monitors access activity and supports a welcoming environment for employees, visitors and drivers. The position is full time, with a day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Sunday.

Key responsibilities

• Serve clients, visitors, drivers and employees by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, keep visitor and contractor entry records and direct authorized personnel and vehicles.
• Watch inbound and outbound trucks, trailers and deliveries at gates and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access attempts and policy violations to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly, communicate with the right people and document events according to company and site requirements.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas and the business perimeter.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local law.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
