Security Officer 3 – Advanced Security & Emergency Response

About the role

SpaceX is seeking a Security Officer 3 to protect its high‑tech facilities and critical flight hardware. The role combines advanced security operations, emergency response, and liaison duties in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol company properties by vehicle and foot, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Plan and conduct advanced security training for all security personnel.
• Perform research, analysis, and risk assessments for critical SpaceX facilities.
• Lead emergency response on‑scene and coordinate domestic flight‑hardware transportation.
• Serve as liaison with law‑enforcement agencies, community leaders, and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years in military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or corporate security.
• 1+ year in executive protection, mobile asset protection, or emergency response teams.
• Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and strong written/oral communication.

Required skills

• EMT or combat medic certification.
• Investigations, surveillance, VIP escort, and security hardware handling.
• FAA Part 107 Drone license (obtainable).
• Level III Commissioned Security Officer license (obtainable).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
