Security Manager for MILCON Projects

About the role

North Wind Design seeks an experienced Security Manager to lead physical, personnel, construction, and information security for Military Construction (MILCON) projects. The role ensures compliance with security requirements while supporting secure project execution and facility accreditation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all security operations on MILCON construction sites, including access control, visitor management, and badging.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site security plans, procedures, and protocols in line with government and contract requirements.
• Supervise Construction Security Technicians, security escorts, and site security personnel.
• Coordinate with Site Security Officer, Accrediting Officials, and SCIF Accrediting Authorities.
• Support SCIF construction, renovation, and accreditation per ICD 705 and related standards.
• Conduct security inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Prepare security documentation, logs, reports, and executive briefings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive security experience, including 5 years supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or MILCON projects.
• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI or ability to obtain.
• Proven ability to manage security operations in active construction environments.
