Security Guard - Patrol Driver (2nd Shift)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Guard - Patrol Driver for its 2nd shift in Waterloo, Iowa. Working as an unarmed officer at a manufacturing and industrial site, you will carry out routine patrols, keep a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control and provide customer service. The position is full time, with a schedule of 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM each day, and pays $19.25 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Serve employees, visitors, contractors and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and answering their questions professionally.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, parking areas, access points and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor entry procedures, and documenting arrivals, departures and unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations and other critical events, following site emergency response protocols.
• Complete detailed reports, daily activity logs and incident documentation, and report security concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 19 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Preferred: ability to lift more than 20 pounds and comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Applicants undergo a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required before employment.
