Secondary World Languages Spanish Teacher (Pool)

About the role

Secondary World Languages Spanish teachers will join Montgomery County Public Schools to provide Spanish instruction to students in grades 6‑12. This posting creates a pool of qualified candidates for future vacancies in the 2027‑2028 school year.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned Spanish lessons under the direction of the school principal.
• Create a learning environment that supports intellectual, social and emotional development.
• Supervise students in various school settings and monitor their academic outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, staff and the community.
• Develop, select and adapt instructional materials to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper use of equipment and facilities.

Required profile

• Maryland state certification in World Languages or eligibility to obtain it.
• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of education from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, policies and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology and multicultural perspectives into instruction.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
