Secondary World Languages French Teacher (Pool)

About the role

Montgomery County Public Schools is building a pool of qualified secondary French language teachers for grades 6‑12. Candidates will be considered for future vacancies for the 2027‑28 school year and must meet Maryland state certification requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver appropriate learning experiences for secondary students in French.
• Create an environment that supports intellectual, social, and emotional development.
• Supervise students in various school settings and monitor classroom behavior.
• Evaluate student outcomes and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Develop, select, and modify instructional materials to meet diverse learner needs.
• Maintain accurate records and follow required procedures.
• Ensure proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.

Required profile

• Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Meet Maryland state certification requirements for World Languages teachers.
• Be eligible to obtain state certification as a French language teacher.
• Be pre‑qualified for consideration for the 2027‑28 school year.
