Secondary Psychology Teacher

About the role

Boston School International is looking for a dedicated Secondary Psychology Teacher to design and deliver engaging lessons, manage a supportive classroom environment, and contribute to student wellbeing. The role involves collaborating with colleagues and participating in school-wide initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and standards.
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies and integrate technology to enhance learning.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Develop, administer, and analyze assessments to monitor student progress.
• Provide academic, social, and emotional support to students.
• Collaborate with parents, counselors, and support staff to address individual student needs.
• Contribute to curriculum development and ensure instructional materials are current.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and serve as a mentor outside the classroom.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education.
• Certification in Psychology.
• Previous teaching experience preferred; IB knowledge is a plus.
• Working knowledge of curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, aligned with ISP principles.
