Seasonal ICU Registered Nurse – Night Shift

About the role

This seasonal position runs from October/November through April and offers a full‑time night shift (12‑hour) in the Intensive Care Unit at Vail Health Hospital. Nurses will work in a state‑of‑the‑art ICU with stunning mountain views, supporting a strong orthopedic case load while enjoying Vail’s winter lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during rounding and provide bedside care.
• Facilitate in‑room physical and occupational therapy to improve patient outcomes.
• Deliver compassionate, patient‑ and family‑centered care throughout the night shift.

Required profile

• One year of critical care experience (strongly preferred).
• Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a valid compact state license.
• Associate Nursing Degree (minimum).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (preferred).
