About the role
Montgomery County Public Schools is building a pool of qualified middle‑school science teachers to deliver integrated STEM instruction. Candidates will be considered for vacancies for the 2027‑2028 school year.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver project‑based, standards‑aligned science lessons that integrate reading, writing, math and technology.
- Maintain records, follow district procedures, and use data analysis to monitor student achievement.
Required profile
- Eligible for Maryland State Department of Education certification as a middle‑school science teacher.
- Commitment to high expectations and the belief that all students can learn.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the MCPS science curriculum and instructional practices.
- Ability to use a variety of instructional and behavior‑management strategies.
