School Bus Driver – Part-Time

About the role
The school seeks a reliable Bus Driver to safely transport K-5 students on scheduled routes for both curriculum and extracurricular activities. This part‑time, hourly position supports the mission of Classical Charter Schools of Wilmington.
Key responsibilities
- Follow all school policies, Department of Transportation regulations, and traffic ordinances.
- Conduct pre‑trip inspections, report mechanical issues, and keep the bus clean.
- Maintain student discipline in partnership with the Bus Monitor and report incidents.
- Ensure students are picked up and dropped off only at authorized stops.
- Complete and submit all required accident and incident reports.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) endorsement and personal auto insurance.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions.
- Interpersonal skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
