Sanitation Manager

About the role

The Sanitation Manager leads the development, implementation, and oversight of the sanitation program at a beverage manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and continuous improvement of sanitation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
• Implement and manage the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Train staff on proper sanitation techniques, recordkeeping, and compliance.
• Monitor sanitation effectiveness through inspections and internal reviews.
• Identify and resolve sanitation‑related issues to prevent microbial contamination.
• Maintain sanitation equipment and manage inventory of supplies.

Required profile

• Associate degree or technical training in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, Environmental Health, Industrial Sanitation, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of sanitation experience in food & beverage manufacturing.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, including 21 CFR 114 (Acidified Foods) and 21 CFR 117 (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).

Required skills
