Sample Management Coordinator II

About the role

The Sample Management Coordinator II provides critical support for customer orders, including solubilizing and plating highly potent compounds, managing sample staging, and maintaining inventory. The role also handles direct sample submission and ensures smooth laboratory operations within the Consumer Products Services division.

Key responsibilities

• Support directed sample submission (DSS) activities such as plating, solubilization, tube creation, and shipping of samples.
• Process customer orders, prioritize based on comments, and manage sample shipping and receiving.
• Inspect testing plates, monitor automated storage systems, and communicate issues to clients.
• Maintain sample archives, staging locations, and storage units, including refrigerators and freezers.
• Assist with inventory management, SOP adherence, and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Associate's Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Minimum of one year of laboratory research experience in a detail‑oriented environment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision while meeting turnaround times.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using SharePoint sites.
• Familiarity with laboratory inventory software and automated storage systems.
• Hands‑on experience with sample solubilization and plating equipment.
