Salesforce Technical Lead

About the role

The ASPCA Information Technology department is looking for a Salesforce Technical Lead, a remote position open to eligible candidates based in the United States. The role is the primary technical authority for the IT Salesforce instance, overseeing the full software development lifecycle (planning, design, development, testing and support) and leading a team of three Salesforce professionals. It reports to the Senior Director, Product Development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of three: a Senior Salesforce Developer, a Salesforce Developer and a Salesforce Administrator/Release Manager, setting expectations, giving feedback and mentoring.
• Translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions and oversee workflows, validation rules, approval processes, assignment rules and flows.
• Use standard Salesforce capabilities and extend them with custom code and third-party integrations, and identify opportunities to template code.
• Oversee CI/CD processes and deployments using Gearset, working with the Release Manager.
• Support off-hours availability for mission-critical applications and travel up to 5% per year.

Required profile

• High level of expertise in the Salesforce platform and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork and a desire to support the ASPCA's mission.
• Availability for off-hours support of mission-critical applications.
• Must be able to provide five references, two at manager level, and attend an in-person interview, likely in New York City.

• Salary range of $149,500 - $156,500 annually.
