Sales Operations Lead
edgebeamwireless · Boston
Job description
About the role
EdgeBeam Wireless is seeking a Sales Operations Lead to partner directly with the CRO and build a world‑class sales operation in Boston. The role will design the end‑to‑end sales process, drive Salesforce adoption, and integrate direct, indirect, and partner sales motions while leveraging AI to boost efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement EdgeBeam’s core sales process, including stages, rules, and repeatable motions.
- Train a Salesforce‑novice team, create documentation, SOPs, and hands‑on enablement to ensure adoption.
- Own Salesforce configuration, data hygiene, and daily usability, collaborating with IT and external consultants.
- Establish and run the operating cadence with the CRO: weekly pipeline reviews, monthly forecasts, quota‑attainment check‑ins, and quarterly business reviews.
- Develop forecasting discipline, methodology, cadence, and enforcement for accurate forward‑looking forecasts.
- Co‑lead annual sales planning: territory design, quota setting, compensation modeling, and attainment tracking.
- Create recurring sales reporting for leadership and the board, covering bookings, pipeline coverage, win rates, and channel contributions.
- Build the lead engine with marketing and external SDR/BDR partners, handling scoring, qualification, routing, and handoff to AEs.
- Stand up the operational layer of the channel program, including partner records, deal registration, and partner‑sourced pipeline reporting.
- Support order administration: quotes, contracts, bookings, and clean order entry into Salesforce.
- Introduce AI tooling to improve forecast accuracy, deal scoring, pipeline summarization, and partner attribution.
Required profile
- 5+ years in sales or revenue operations at a B2B technology company, with experience in both direct and channel sales.
- Proven track record building sales or revenue operations from the ground up and establishing cadences, reporting, and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to train non‑technical users and drive CRM adoption.
- Hands‑on Salesforce administration experience, including object configuration, data cleaning, and dashboard creation.
- Experience selecting and implementing GTM stack components such as CPQ, lead routing, and marketing automation.
- Strong forecasting and pipeline management expertise.
- Data fluency with SQL or advanced spreadsheet modeling to turn messy data into actionable insights.
- Direct experience managing demand‑gen to sales handoff and working with SDR/BDR teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
